Greater Than Angels

·         Jesus Christ is superior to:

o the angels

o Moses

o the high priests of the Law of Moses

o Aaron

o Abraham.

·         Paul taught many truths about the Savior Jesus Christ, some specifically from Hebrews 1. Three of them are:

o God and Jesus Christ are separate beings. In verses one through three it reads:

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

o God never changes. (Hebrews 1:12)

o God is forever. (Hebrews 1:8)

·         God came to earth to experience mortality so he had the ability to taste death for every man. How could an immortal being die? That is why He was given mortality; why he passed through the veil to this world. He wanted to give us a way out of eternal death and tribulation through the grace of God. The way to be saved through His grace, however, is through our willingness to repent and humble ourselves before the Lord.
